The "Branda of Santo António de Val  de Poldros" is an architectural ensemble  of inestimable heritage value, constituting a great example of transhumance settlements: mountain villages where the guards (brandeiros) took their cattle during the summer months, descending again to their original villages, the winterers, from September onwards.
